The work reflects on the transformative potential of subtlety. What initially seems minimal, even imperceptible, over time opens up to a quiet change—a moment of expansion that creates space for thought, breath, and mindfulness.
Through the subtle shift in the flow of lines, the painting suggests that transformation need not be accompanied by a violent gesture or a sudden break in continuity. Sometimes, it's an almost invisible impulse or shift in perspective that creates room for reflection.
The viewer is invited to pause at the threshold of this transformation—to find the inner space that allows for movement, even the smallest.
The work, measuring 140x160 cm, was created using a proprietary technique, using Carrara marble and oil paint. The creation process was mantric in nature—lines built layer by layer up close reveal a human gesture—imperfect, yet harmonious, repeatable like a mantra. The rough, mineral texture combined with light reveals variability and depth – leading the viewer to experience, not just watch.
