"Casal dormindo" ("Couple asleep") is a work born in the occasion of Siebra's residency in Brugge, Belgium, in 2021. The artist took the bass-reliefs from around the city as a starting point, producing a bidimensional image that sits beetween painting and sculpture. Not only as a reference to Brâncusi "The Kiss" but also to Modernism in Brazil, such as Vicente to Rego Monteiro, Siebra intersects both realities and plays with what may be our most deep definition of intimacy.
