As an immigrant from Iran, my work is shaped by my personal experiences. This painting is about war, especially about my homeland since 2025, where conflict between Iran, Israel, and the USA has deeply affected people’s lives. In my homeland, many people carry the hope that this war might soon come to an end of the dictatorial regime and become the beginning of freedom. But in between, many things happen — even if this hope feels real, it is also uncertain and fragile. The work reflects this condition: being between destruction and freedom, between hope and reality. Oil on canvas, 70 × 100 cm, 2026.
