This is one of the paintings from the
cycle "Anthropocene". The painting shows the industrial landscape of the steel mills in Ostrava
in the evening gloom and smog. The basic material is compressed and natural charcoal on paper. The waste water in the foreground is
painted with synthetic asphalt as one of the products/waste that is created
during chemical production. Chimney
smoke and smog along with dust fallout are then enhanced by the ash used to
depict it. During the
drawing process, the ash also fell on the drawn objects and trees and left its
mark on them - fallout.
