For me, art
(artwork) is primarily about communication. Communication with people around,
with the world but also with oneself. That's why my work is not about solving
creative problems, it's not about finding current trends in art. I don't even
strive for unity of style and technique. I always try to find a corresponding
and expressive form of display for each topic, for each cycle. That's why I
often experiment with different art processes, combine different materials and
look for non-traditional approaches and materials to traditional painting and
drawing. I work in open cycles, to which I return after some time enriched with
procedures and knowledge from the cycles I am currently processing.
In my works I
often portray a human journey – a journey of secrets, self-discovery, and lost
intimacy – in series Lost Steps, Other Places, Unknown Face, Stories in Us, etc.
In the cycles Anthropocene and Earth of people - Earth without people, I deal
with the human need to conquer and reshape our planet, a need that borders on
its destruction and our self-destruction.
I am also working on the series Covid19-Syndrome, which deals with the
past pandemic situation. A new experience of collective danger, fear and
misinformation.
