Sancta Passio combines sacred visual language with the emotional reality of the digital age. Inspired by the aesthetics of medieval stained-glass windows, a fragile female figure emerges as a timeless allegory of the human soul — beautiful, vulnerable, and pierced by invisible forces.
The arrows carry the symbols of global social media and digital platforms. They symbolize the constant penetration of human consciousness through information, judgment, dependency, and virtual communication. Every wound leaves traces not only on the body, but within the figure’s inner cosmos, portrayed as a luminous universe of light, energy, and fragmentation. The heart becomes the center of an emotional tension between connection and isolation, intimacy and overstimulation.
The use of gold leaf references religious iconography and Byzantine sacred art, granting the painting a spiritual and timeless dimension.
