From the Deep continues the exploration of a state of presence in which former meanings have already lost their stability, while new ones are only beginning to emerge. Space remains undefined and fluid, while attention shifts deeper — to the moment in which the inner force of the object gradually becomes determining.
The underwater scene is constructed as a state of inner immersion: the seabed is concealed by a dispersed layer of sand resembling fog, and depth becomes almost indistinguishable. At the centre of the composition, a shoe is held upon a fragile plant support, maintaining its own equilibrium within an unstable environment. Its quiet radiance becomes a point of orientation within space, toward which underwater forms inevitably reach.
The work continues the development of the Radiance of Presence series, addressing the manifestation of deep-rooted steadiness. If in Garden of Elusive Meanings the environment existed in a process of dispersion, here the inner light begins to gather space around itself. The object's presence does not yet openly transform its surroundings, as in Form of Gravitation, but already creates new connections.
