Typography is the art and the technique of arranging type. It is the foundation to convey any information in the written word, by creating symbols that can be recognized and understood.
Both jewellery and typography are historic forms of communication in their own regards. This study explores the way typography was historically embedded with a tool in a medium and the abstraction from picture to letters. Using this abstraction, shapes are created, similar to the creation of characters. 26 hand sawn shapes are arranged precisely between two lines and form a necklace with an expressive graphic appearance.
