This Ring is from my B.A. collection »Feeling Jewellery«
Rings are a simple object that is a frequent companion throughout the day for a lot of people. Rings are hereby the most emotionally charged pieces of jewellery. The ring is intended to create precisely this emotional connection through conscious perception – between the haptic and tactile sensation and the personal feeling. In our daily lives they represent the closest object to reach for, because they are already connected with us.
This ring of the collection is designed to encourage interaction with it. It should feel particularly pleasant and interesting in the interaction and the subsequent movement. Through their haptics, they attract the attention of the wearer and can be a positive distraction. This conscious perception can have a meditative effect or create concentration.
The ring is handcrafted in a labour intensive process by me, the artist in Pforzheim – Germany's historic town for jewellery production. Alloy designation 925 Silver, size around 55–58.
