Inna Nikolaieva is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Ukraine, currently living and working in Vienna. Her background combines architecture, painting, art history, pedagogy, sculpture, and eurythmy.
Her artistic language emerges from a dialogue between the abstraction of Kandinsky, the spiritual depth of icon painting, and the freedom of modernism. Working with natural materials, her practice explores themes of transformation and memory, approaching time as a compressed, multilayered substance embedded in matter.
She is dedicated to investigating the relationship between the visible and the hidden. The layering of color onto the texture of crumpled paper, veneer, and copper creates a multilayered poetic narrative and opens the way to the interpretation of multiple meanings.
Nikolaieva is the founder of the Goethe Art Studio and has participated in over 20 international exhibitions, including in the USA, Switzerland, France, Canada, Greece, Austria, and Ukraine. Her works are held in private collections worldwide.
