Merche González is a Spanish self-taught artist whose work explores memory, transformation and human relationships through painting and mixed media. Combining realism and abstraction, she creates highly textured works using reclaimed materials such as fabric, stone and recycled objects, transforming them into emotional and symbolic narratives.
Her artistic practice is based on the belief that materials preserve the memory of lived experiences and can be transformed into a new visual language. Through knots, textures and layered surfaces, her work reflects themes of resilience, identity, connection and renewal.
González has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, and her work is held in private collections in several countries, including France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States and Saudi Arabia. She has also been selected for international competitions and continues to develop a contemporary body of work that merges material experimentation with emotional depth.
