I am an Argentinian visual artist currently based in Florence, Italy, where I work as a painting teacher at an art academy. My practice is rooted in portrait painting, with a particular focus on the gaze as a way to reveal emotional depth and inner complexity.
I work primarily with oil paint using a palette knife, developing my paintings through layered textures and expressive gestures. This approach allows me to build surfaces where control and spontaneity coexist, creating a strong tactile and emotional presence.
I am especially interested in representing women from diverse cultural backgrounds, exploring themes of gender, migration, and the social pressures imposed on the female body. My work reflects on how these expectations shape identity and self-perception, often revealing tensions between vulnerability, resistance, and transformation.
In my recent work, I have been focusing on the body as a site of liberation, questioning imposed ideals and reclaiming it as a space of autonomy and expression.
