Silvia Cerioli is an Italian sculptor based in Monza. She studied at the Liceo Artistico in Cremona and at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Carrara under Pier Giorgio Balocchi, later training in Pietrasanta and at the T.A.M. in Pietrarubbia with Arnaldo Pomodoro. She also specialized at the Teatro alla Scala Academy, where she worked for over twenty years (1998–2019) as a sculptor and maker, collaborating with international institutions such as the Opéra Bastille in Paris.
Her artistic practice explores the expressive potential of materials — from marble, bronze and terracotta to aluminum and copper sheets. In recent years she has developed the series Mille Pensieri, abstract reliefs made of overlapping metal scales that evoke ripples of water and the flow of thought. Alongside her studio research, she also creates large-scale public works, such as the Monument to the Alpini in Castelleone (2025).
Cerioli’s work combines technical mastery with an instinctive sensitivity to light, perception and transformation, revealing how fragments and details can merge into unified, vibrant landscapes
