Initially inspired by 18th-century Transylvanian reverse-painted icons, my practice gradually evolved from painting to sculpture and installation.
Today, working with weathered wood, stone, reclaimed glass, crystal offcuts and found objects, I create sculptures that emerge from a dialogue between the histories carried by materials and our own experience of the living world. Seeking essential forms rather than perfect ones, I preserve fractures, scars and traces of time as integral parts of the work.
Clouds are one of my recurring motifs. Constantly changing yet enduring, they embody my fascination with continuity through transformation. Their broken, layered and stitched forms reflect the fragile balance between vulnerability and resilience, inviting contemplation of what breaks, what endures, and what continues in another form.
