Beethoven’s Ear is a sensory prosthetic that translates the bio-data of living plants into haptic feedback. By converting the stochastic voltage of organic matter into tactile pulses, the installation allows Deaf and hearing audiences to physically experience the "heartbeat" of a non-human intelligence. It is an inquiry into "Absolute Rhythmic Truth," referencing Beethoven’s own method of listening through the body to propose a new, silent form of music.
