This series of works is similar to the concept of the portrait series; exploring the silhouette of the subconscious mind. However, for this series, I focus more on the transformation of the extended body, the silhouette memory to the emotions that existed within the objects. This is done by projecting the concept of silhouette memory which is familiar to us into the objects that do not fit into such image.
In attempt to find the projection of the suppressed emotions that were hidden behind the objects as well as its evolved image. These objects are the objects that appeared daily in my room and in the studio. I randomly selected the items and apply its user experience, spatial memory, and visual appearance of the objects to re-assemble the contour of the object itself.
A new face has been generated under such state, at the same time, another new face will be formed in its own extension. And in such form can it be regarded as a kind of portrait? Or perhaps a kind of portrait that visualizes the relationship between one’s self and its objects?
