This work was filmed during my residency in Busan at the HongTi Art Center. The aim of this work fits with the theme of the festival on several levels: it shows in an abstract way the lingering presence of the geopolitical issues that are ongoing around us.
Here we see the presence of huge boats navigating on the edge of the horizon of the South Sea in a space that has a very strong history and a very political and economical reality and impact on the lives of many people.
Sometimes, things can look very innocent from certain perspectives depending on who you are or where you come from, and have a total different meaning. That’s what this work is about.
