What happends if a seed of a wild plant will find a place in a crack and start growing, changing this place, acomodating it for living? How much space does a seed neet to make it as “a home“?
The nettles growing through the concrete as a symbol of resistance and the ability of a plant, nature and a human as part of it to overcome the barriers and keep existing. I’m also inspired by the fact, that we build and we destroy, and how the nature responses to it.
Besides that nettles are picky, and able to survive even the fire, they are also very delicate, some of them can easily die in a gallery space even if there are enough soil, water and light. Nettles have a strong association with human habitation and buildings. I believe this work is open for any interpretation, I use the plants as a symbol, which I invite to interpret and read in broad perspective.
