A series of huipils in collaboration with Oaxacan textile artists by Moises Martinez Velasco, Virginia Álvarez Juárez, Erasto "Tito" Mendoza Ruiz, Miriam Campos Cornelio, Rodri Hernandez, and Alejandro Jimenez Moli. These pieces are made in Oaxaca from using silk, wool, cotton, Tencel, and other materials with natural dyes. Where is Home? is a message and question referencing the transfer and uprooted action of people who have historical ties with their land, leading to displacement and loss of their historical of identity. This work is to process and to question what home is and how most of the people who are displaced grapple with the thought of trying to find a place to claim as a home to while setting roots in the United States.
