This quilt illustrates two figures who appear to be having an emotionally charged conversation. The imagery for the piece was in part inspired by the materials used in its creation. The piece is a merging of two antique quilts which were given to the artist by his late mother after they had been damaged beyond repair. The two quilts had patterns and colors which were so visually incompatible that the artist chose to expose the plain white fabric of the back of one quilt against the color and pattern of the other quilt to create the image.
