The site-specific work in tubular
iron by the Sanremo artist Igor Grigoletto urges the viewer to look at the
environment with new eyes, invites the rediscovery of natural space, to a new
fruition. The straight lines that intersect each other fragment the space in a
myriad of unpredictable directions, offer escape routes, redraw the geometry of
the natural environment. In “Sign Medieval Modern” the natural and geometric
elements interpenetrate, overlap, and blend together. It will be enough to
change the viewing angle to find yourself in a new and different perception.
Nature in its continuous flow and becoming follows a musical, geometric,
mathematical rhythm for the purity of its lines and internal order. It does so
by alternating day and night, the cycles of the seasons, in the transformation
of matter. Through iron the artist expresses strength, with the vermilion red
color the passion of an indomitable nature that man has not yet managed to
bend.
