My artwork "Ovalu: Beyond Boundaries" explores the transformative power of a simple shift in perspective. The sculpture consists of two interlocking Möbius forms, each created by giving an ordinary oval a single twist. Through this minimal intervention, a finite shape becomes a continuous surface with a single infinite edge, revealing how a subtle change can fundamentally alter our understanding of form. I am fascinated by how profound possibilities emerge from such a simple act. The Möbius strip is more than a mathematical phenomenon. For me, it’s a metaphor for perception and human potential. It suggests that the limits we accept may not be fixed, but dissolve when we learn to see differently. The work brings together two interwoven forms because I see creation as arising through the meeting of complementary energies. One of the forms carries a cut-out pattern to distinguish these different qualities, while their interlocking relationship expresses their mutual dependence. Together, these balanced forces make the ‘twist’, the shift in awareness possible, the shift that transforms limitation into possibility. Through overview, I invite viewers to reflect on the balance within themselves and consider what shift in perspective might reveal their own infinite potential.
