This interactive installation is constructed in three parts, which consist of photo-biographical archives (the "Memory Archive" box); two paintings, and a biographical text.
Part of the biographical text it´s written in yellow neon lights, like an electric sun that surrounds the installation. Ambiguously, the words are not warm actually, they are full of grief and sorrow.
Secondly, the images that appear on the two paintings are created using a cameraless process (gum bichromate). In this process, the photosensitive chemical reacts with sunlight to reveal the images (by contact with the photographic negative or painted on acetate).
In this technical process, the eye that sees is not the human or the photographic camera, however, making a poetical comparison it's replaced by the Sun.
The sun is essential to create those images as it is for the grass to grow. These are the artist´s memories, a therapy session, and the audience is welcome to sit on the grass, check the inside content of the "Memory Archive" box, or just simply reflect on their own memories.
The 3D images are an artwork prototype to be produced for the exhibition.
