Drawing in uncertainty, from process to project #3, Museum of Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto, (Porto, PT)
The artist works with the issues of phenomenological
processes in the construction of the image. By questioning and investigating how its nature change; what it is; how it form; reveals itself, or hides through its repetition. Through this process, the artist use the magic
lantern, photomontages, and google earth images
as prostheses to understand and conceptualize
the human eye in a psychological, sensory, and
cognitive way.
Other themes associated in her art projects are concepts such as memory; life/death
drive through a biographical photographic archive (focusing on Melanie Klein’s psychoanalytic theory), and Anthropocene concept (with
environmental engagement).
Lately, her conceptual and visual research has led her to a closer correlation and interconnection between analog visual practice and the new digital
media.
