My struggling heart keeps me awake

Home and the associated origins are often equated with belonging and security. It should be an anchor and you feel comfortable and welcome there. But for many people, home is not a place of security, especially for many people with a queer identity. This place is often associated with many painful memories. In the text of the video installation 'Nobody is Okay', 2021 by Marita Banda and Andy Storchenegger, the sentence "Home is an illusion" is heard. This is how many feel who do not fit into the expectations of their families and the environment of their childhood. The expectations placed on these people are too high and simply don't fit the person in question.

The installation includes ceramic objects and a rendering video.
