A textile vulva, with a divine feminine young - eye. Radiant like a monstrance, framed in a mandorla. This provocative object stood at the center of the former altar area, directly confronting the frescoes of saints and indirectly challenging the traditional, patriarchal structures of the established church in a critical and demanding manner. Its purpose was to break the taboo surrounding sexuality and to discuss the significance of women in church and religion. Sewn from crocheted, dyed lace, with remnants of fur collars and a great deal of leather cut into shape. The guardian figures surrounding the sanctuary are objects made from upcycled materials. Humor and recognition play an important role here.
