This sculpture is a reflection, a questioning of our past, our relationship to memory, the restoration of monuments or works of art. Renovate to perpetuate past glories and showcase them. At the same time, the quality of restoration and the investment and involvement of countries becomes a marker of their current power and their development. Is it out of consideration for generations before, for the work accomplished, or rather a commodification of memory. In my sculpture, I use mason props instead of stone columns. The primary function of these props in the building is to temporarily hold loads, slabs and buildings.
