Throughout my work, the notion of symbol is everywhere. It may sometimes be straightforward (veiled women made of popsicles, or the Pentagon manufactured with wooden pallets) or often with staging in which different elements interfere on others (plastic toy soldiers placed on popcorns about to pop).
The project is usually to strike, to ridicule, and to deconstruct a heavy or sensitive symbol in order to sense its representation from another angle. Here, I try to have an ironic approach, offbeat almost carefree.
