Maschera

 "Mask" is a work of art that depicts a bull in a challenging position, with the body tense and ready to shoot, made with the origami technique. The sculpture is created with paper treated with liquid metals and then acidified to activate an oxidation process, which gives the surface the appearance of rusted iron. This contrast between the apparent strength of the oxidised metal and the inherent fragility of the underlying paper represents the concept of the mask: the way we try to appear stronger than we really are.
