Building puppets is one of my greatest passions. For this reason I combined this art with my profession as a psychotherapist. Working artistically with children in therapy brings me the need to continually seek new forms of expression and experimentation. At a certain point this led me to the desire to test myself and create something new, totally new and original: the Puppets of pictorial works of art.
I thus constructed portraits of the great masters: from Leonardo Da Vinci, to Van Gogh, Picasso, Modigliani, Magritte, Frida Khalo and Klimt.
What else awaits me? I don't know, but even though it was very difficult, this job gave me a lot of satisfaction.
The sculpted heads are from Crete, with a polystyrene base. The body is constructed from scotch-coated newspaper, polystyrene and fabric. The clothes are made of fabric. The body is painted with acrylic colors. Synthetic hair covers the heads. Wooden rods support the Puppet and the string connected to the arms allows it to move. Real frames surround the face of the painting.
