I, For One, Welcome Our Interdimensional Overlords

Part of a series of four installations considering alternative, future, and speculative realities, redefining our relationship with the more-than-human.
Over 2024, I made a series of portals breaking through into our world from a plant-based dimension.
In this iteration a creature is emerging through the portal. There is no way to know whether to fear or welcome what will happen. This is a fantastical deus ex machina, sweeping in to save us from the consequences of our lifestyle.
As climate grief has given way to despair, I imagine a story of hope, of possibilities.
