Part of the Collection: “Echoes of Sardinia” by Volha Tyrtyshnaya
These art forms are intuitive sculptural objects born from a dialogue with the wild nature of
Sardinia and the transformation of inner images, intuition, and emotions. They reflect the
textures of ancient caves, geological rhythms, and the hidden silences of the island,
translating these impressions into organic shapes filled with atmosphere and archetypal
meanings.
Each form is a plastic language in which internal states and moods are translated into
material and color. Working entirely by hand, I create abstract, flowing forms that seem to
live with their own breath and history.
I use Italian white stoneware (Gres) for the clay body. The surfaces are finished with matte
and vibrant satin glazes that emphasize contrast and depth of perception, evoking
associations with natural structures and dreamlike imagery.
“Echoes of Sardinia” is a collection of abstract forms inspired by nature and intertwined with
my inner experiences, imagery, and vivid emotions. They become a tangible expression of
an emotional dialogue between the outer world and the depths of consciousness.
