Volha Tyrtyshnaya is a Belarusian-born ceramic artist and visual practitioner whose work
explores the intersection of nature, subconscious imagery, and emotional transformation.
Holding a Master of Arts in Art History and a degree in Decorative and Applied Arts
(Ceramics) from the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts—Volha has developed a
multidisciplinary practice that merges traditional ceramic techniques with contemporary
sculptural language.
Since 2017, she has actively participated in numerous international exhibitions and
symposiums, including Art Minsk (2021–2023), the Triennial of Decorative and Applied Arts
"ДЭКАРТ" (Minsk, 2022), the International Ceramic Symposium Арт Жыжаль (Belarus,
2021), and the Vounous International Terracotta Symposium (Cyprus, 2022). She is also
a two-time winner of the international ceramic competition “Гліна спявае” (2018 and 2021).
Alongside her artistic production, Volha has cultivated a strong commitment to education and
curation, teaching ceramics and contributing to cultural projects in Belarus and abroad.
In 2024, she relocated to Ravenna, Italy, where she continues practice from her private
ceramic studio.
Her ceramics are not merely objects but material dialogues—fluid, organic forms that
embody the rhythms of nature and the language of the unconscious.
