PORNOBUNNY by TOTOCOP is a neo-pop sculptural series that blends emotional tension, sensuality, and theatricality through hybrid figures with a powerful visual impact. The works explore body language, desire, power, and vulnerability, transforming the bunny character into a contemporary symbol suspended between irony and seduction.
The Circus Lovers series emerges from the encounter between the PORNO BUNNY universe and the aesthetic of contemporary circus performance. Through contemporary acrobatic languages, the series celebrates the beauty of movement, discipline, sensuality, and physical tension, transforming circus performers into sculptural icons suspended between strength and vulnerability.
The artwork Matthew is inspired by the world of roue Cyr performance, where the body and the giant rotating ring move together in a hypnotic and perfectly harmonious choreography. Suspended between balance, control, and freedom, the performer twists and glides through space while holding onto the massive circle, transforming physical effort into pure elegance.
The piece draws inspiration from an artist who turned his performance into a queer symbol of pride, freedom, and self-expression. Through sensual movement and sculptural tension, the work celebrates the body not only as an instrument of performance, but also as a political and emotional statement.
Unlike a static representation, Matthew was conceived as an interactive sculpture. The entire artwork is designed to rotate on itself, allowing the viewer to physically activate the piece and experience the fluidity of the performance from continuously changing perspectives. The sculpture does not simply capture a moment but it recreates the sensation of motion, rhythm, and liberation that defines the artist’s act.
