This sculpture represents Gea (from Greek mythology, primeval goddess
with inexhaustible creative strength) who burns for the pains inflicted by man.
For some time now, mother earth has been suffering from wounds that we cause
due to a predatory attitude, which makes us feel masters of the planet and its
resources. Today, we can see these wounds in an unprecedented ecological
crisis, affecting the soil, air, water and, in general, the ecosystem in which
human beings live.
