The work is made with the light-painting technique, combining elements of photography and painting.
These photos are like paintings, except instead of a canvas, they are a set of camera sensors. A painter uses paints, and a photographer uses light, a colour paintbrush granting access to its own paint as light.
The works are part of the “The Ten Commandments” collection illustrating an abstract, non-symbolic interpretation of the first iteration of the 10 divine laws. These are the only words that God Himself wrote down and should not be changed, but must be interpreted and renewed so that they can start a new philosophical discussion about their timeless value.
Works made using the light-painting technique are unique because, thanks to the use of light, they cannot be repeated or counterfeited. They are a unique record of an idea told by light.
