From the "Fake" series, Via Riva is a photographic diorama combining modeling, scenography, and photography, designed to explore new ways of creating and enjoying a photographic image.
A prototype of an impression of reality, of a reality constructed to scale, somewhere between miniature everyday life and the illusion of a timeless scene, it combines elements drawn from my memory with a totally imaginary aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the homes I've lived in.
The photograph loses its original meaning to acquire a new one, through a visual zoom out behind the scenes, a material outside of the frame where another scene unfolds and comes to life. The event is contextualized in meaning only at the precise moment of the door opening through the action of the observer, or rather, their curiosity to investigate, transcending the sacred limit of the work of art not to be touched.
Curiosity becomes process, becomes possibility, sometimes the fruit of egocentric logic, a seeing through in an intuitive experience stimulating fantasy and imagination.
