Street Food Stories: Havana, February 2026
The photographs featured in this exhibition were taken in Havana during a critical period marked by a deepening energy and social crisis.
Using the familiar language of tourism imagery and social media culture, this series shifts the focus from the "sights" to the invisible backdrop of the city: litter, polluted sewer waters bubbling up, and deteriorating infrastructure.
The street food in the foreground serves as an ironic commentary on globalized images of consumption and travel euphoria, while the background reveals a reality that is often overlooked by tourist representations.
The images do not seek to dramatize poverty; instead, they aim to document the habitual coexistence with the decay of public space.
