This project explores the consumeristic part of fashion industry and the detrimental effect it has on people’s psyche. Fashion models are bound to certain parameters of their physique they aren’t expected to go outside of. Much like that of a freshly produced plastic doll in a box, their appearance is dictated by the wants of a consumerist society that strives for everything newer, shinier and more appealing with no concern for the wide discrepancy between an ideal fabricated image and the way people look in real life and the mental toll on people for whom this discrepancy is substantial.
