From the series Family of Man. This series juxtaposes my own photography with newspaper images of the war in Syria. The title refers to a 1955 MoMA exhibition, that presented "a mirror of the universal elements and emotions in the everydayness of life”. By colliding found footage with images from my database, I invite the viewers to reflect on the notion that our destiny is often closely related to where we were born.Archival inkjet print, dibond mounted, printed by the artist.
