borne of light:
fleeting
boundless
hints at genesis unfolding:
unseen worlds in specks of dust
fractal dimensions untold
hold still this quantum moment

My work is abstract expressionism, conceptual; a philosophical pursuit to catch glimpses of a transcendent moment in the in-between liminal cosmos of quantum field. 12 years ago, aesthetically, I took an about-face turn away from realism; technically, experimentally, toward a purist stripped down back-to-basic elements. I dared myself to simply work with natural light in liminal time space, my eyes, an iPhone and deliberately eschew both realism and digital manipulation totally from my creative process. I flow into imagery-making without definitive plan formulated.
Yet, at each seemingly blank slate and state in time-space energetically are myriad hopes, dreams, intentions of actualization for oneself and for All. I lean on my consciousness, inner sense, the unseen in the in-between of space time. At each outset, I deliberately focus on the moment’s journey to only chase after natural light as it moves across given spaces. Using only my iPhone’s built-in camera as a painter would a brush, I aim NOT to capture preexisting objects, people, place per se; instead, to explore, tease out and create unrepeatable ephemeral original imagery that unfolds and breaks through surface 3D physical reality. I push and bridge the edges between photography and painting as I tease out singular imagery that is expressionistic, illusional, allusional.
My creative quest is to allow visual expression through energetic connection with the ‘magical’ that surrounds us. And, without strokes nor filters added nor removed digitally later in the computer, my image is complete at that very moment of creation; a tribute and testimony to omnipresence and co-creation – the elusive ‘is-ness’ made evident . . . naturally, organically, entirely un-Photoshopped, unmanipulated.
Each of my imagery is a fleeting visual presence; a communion with the abundantly rich energetic multidimensional reality and vital essence rarely accessible, often hidden, vaguely perceptible, yet which at each moment infinitely surround our busy fast-paced lives.
Ultimately, I invite the viewer to experience through my work a unique glimpse into the fullness of All That Is; to discover and share a new perspective not only about the very nature of reality but also, equally, to witness the dynamic role our consciousness, observation and intentionality play in its creation – each imagery a tribute and testimony to omnipresence and co-creation.
