My unconventional conceptual crossover lens-based imagery vividly expresses unseen yet powerfully felt vibrations in the Aether, the inescapable frequencies surfacing from deep within consciousness, interacting as singular soul with the universal collective and All That is. I flow into imagery-making without definitive plan formulated. Yet, at each seemingly blank slate and state in time-space energetically are myriad hopes, dreams, intentions of actualization for oneself and for All. My creative quest is to allow visual expression of all these through energetic connection with the ‘magical’ that surrounds us. Each of my imagery is testimony and tribute to this interplay: the elusive ‘is-ness’ made evident . . . naturally, entirely un-Photoshopped, unmanipulated.
I invite the world to wonder at and embrace both the Seen and the Unseen in the in-between and betwixt.
In our fast-paced lives, how often are we aware of it? Is its place only in art, metaphysics, spirituality? Or, is the magical the rich genuine underpinning of today’s known physics, as narrowly mirrored in the mundane? While the debate continues as a scientific perspective of ambivalence or outright silence, I am exhilarated to mindfully and intuitively co-create with natural Light and unseen frequencies that suffuse the Aether. I seek to prove more to myself than to anyone else that consciousness, observation, intentionality altogether play a critical and powerful role in the creation of our reality.
Technically, to create my imagery, I deliberately use only the camera built in my iPhone-of-the-moment as one would a painter’s brush; consciously aiming not to capture preexisting objects, people, place per se; instead, tease out and create unrepeatable ephemeral imagery that breaks through surface 3D reality. Aesthetically, conceptually, I cast out realism totally from my thought and creative process; intuitively allowing my consciousness and inner vision to interact with natural light in liminal time-space; and so doing reach rare multidimensional quantum moments. Racing after movements of light, I literally ‘paint’ expressionist –often, surreal– imagery, blurring/bridging the edges between painting and photography, in character and impression. And, later post-creation, as deliberately, I do not manipulate (or Photoshop) my images.
Co-creating this art form is an unending joyful journey of discovery that has become a veritable meditation practice the rewards of which often reveal astounding breakthroughs behind the proverbial veil – and beyond the conventions of photography. More than visual aesthetics, I offer up a unique visual experience: a communion with the abundantly rich parallel reality and vital essence rarely accessible, vaguely perceptible, yet infinitely energetically surrounds our busy lives.
Ultimately, I invite viewers to look at my imagery, allow their gaze to linger a while… tune in to experience this same joy of discovery. Catch glimpses of multidimensional forces at play – each image giving literal meaning and truth to the phrase ‘out of thin air’: hidden gems of omnipresent cosmic energy in liminal space, co-creation and our inter-connectedness. Since 2013 when my creative practice took this turn, my hope is to collaborate with physicists to uncover further expansion of my ”Art meets Science meets Metaphysics” creative quest. I also hope to inspire personal awareness, inquiry and dialog about quantum reality, its subliminal yet constant interaction with consciousness both collective and personal, and a new perception about visual art and photography.
E Bee Bantug has worked as a marketing, advertising and graphics design professional in Asia, Europe, and the US; presently a co-founder & Managing Partner of an IT solutions firm since 2004; and a totally self-taught professional visual artist, since 2013. This last decade found her moving from Austin TX (USA) to a small mountain town in Southern Oregon, an unexpectedly serendipitous life-altering experience in every way; but most specially, toward a most exciting provocative creative journey characterized by the convergence of her life-long deep interest and practice in the natural world, visual and performing arts, metaphysics and spirituality.
