My first wearable sculpture, known as the 'Iron Soldier,' was created for my second live art performance of the year. It was inspired by the iron maiden, a historical torture device, with outward-facing spikes representing the feelings of human loneliness and depression.
On October 27th, 2023, I took the sculpture to the busy streets of London, placing myself in crowded areas for several minutes to hours.
This work is a momentary representation of the physical and mental torture and the paradox of being alone in a crowded place."
