REUNIFICATION
Portraits of missing relatives from the Yugoslav war hang in front of the Belgrade parliament in 2016 as a civil image protest. After wilful destruction by unknown persons, a cut face is patched together with a safety pin in a makeshift deformation. The attempt to reunite what has been separated seems involuntarily more violent than the clean cut through the image carrier. The detail was documented with a mobile phone, the digital image file then transferred to a stone plate in a chemical process and printed on paper.
