To explore the principles of wave movement, this artwork uses suminagashi, a technique that originated as a pastime among court nobles in the late Heian period (794 ~ 1185).
Like waves that advance and retreat, expand and contract, it expresses how opposing forces interact and maintain balance in cycles.
Harmony is not achieved by eliminating conflict but by allowing different energies to coexist and support each other. Through this piece, I aim to convey the importance of embracing opposing forces not as adversaries but as essential partners for growth and balance.
