In classical Persian imagery, the Waq Waq Tree bears human heads as its fruit, symbolizing a strange crossing between nature, life, and myth. In this work, I replace the human heads with rhinoceros heads, turning the tree into an image of ecological memory. The rhinoceros appears both as a living being and as a possible future myth, asking whether endangered animals may one day survive only as images, stories, or symbols.
