Brigitte Puschmann (born 1969 in Munich) is a contemporary artist based between Germany and Austria. Her work focuses on the conditions of change, exploring how perception, structure, and visual experience are continuously formed and transformed.
Her artistic approach is informed by an earlier professional background in the corporate sector, where she worked extensively with complex transformation processes. This engagement with systemic change continues to shape her practice, in which she examines instability, transition, and the shifting nature of reality.
Puschmann’s training spans both design and fine art. She studied interior design at Rhodec International College in the UK and later pursued painting at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg. Since 2024, she has been fully dedicated to her artistic work. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kolbermoor under Prof. Markus Lüpertz and continues there as a master student, developing an approach to painting that moves beyond representation toward relational and process-based structures.
Her work includes large-format paintings, modular compositions, and spatial installations, often incorporating elements that allow for variation and reconfiguration. She has presented her work in gallery exhibitions, institutional contexts, and international art fairs, including a solo exhibition at Samuelis Baumgarte Gallery in Bielefeld, as well as exhibitions across Europe.
Her works are held in private and public collections, including the Copelouzos Family Art Museum in Athens. Puschmann has received several awards and nominations in recognition of her work.
