This large-scale mixed-media painting combines acrylic with paper embedded into the canvas as a structural element. Working with shades of blue, grey and subtle touches of white, I create a layered surface in which texture becomes an active part of the image itself.

The painting does not depict a specific place. Its deliberately open visual language invites different interpretations. Some viewers recognize the surface of an unknown planet, while others see a coastline viewed from above or geological formations shaped over time. None of these perceptions is more valid than another.

I deliberately avoid providing a definitive explanation of my paintings. Instead, I invite viewers to follow their own imagination and discover their own associations.

During the painting process, colour, material and texture gradually develop into visual spaces that remain intentionally open. For me, the meaning of a painting is not completed in the studio; it unfolds in the encounter between the artwork and the viewer.
