Toward the Sky, Through Water continues a long-term exploration of memory, perception, and
the inner emotional landscapes that shape how we see the world. Much of my practice revolves
around the connection between personal history, long-term memory, and the capacity to
return to a state of openness that is often associated with childhood.
My practice often invites the viewer to enter a reflective, emotionally open state. The idea of
the “inner child” is central to this approach.
The painting reflects a lived experience, one shaped by many years spent near and within the
ocean. Through the layered oil technique, the work holds the memory of moving water and the
intimate view of the sky seen from below.
It offers a quiet space for viewers to connect with their states.
