“The X Somber Poet” is part of the “Mood” series, a visual exploration of fragmented identity, emotional memory and the silent language of images. Created using the same format and technique as “Miles”, this work follows the tradition of hybrid collage, where photography, colour and abstraction interact within a single narrative space.
In this piece, collage becomes a field of tension between control and chance, graphic precision and emotional saturation. Fragments of images—faces, textures, signs, blocks of colour—compose a visual language akin to poetry, where each element functions as an autonomous yet interdependent stanza.
“The X Somber Poet” explores the figure of the contemporary individual as a fragmented construct: caught between projected identity, visual memory and aesthetic fiction. The “somber poet” is not a character, but a presence—a silent energy that permeates the layers of the image.
